Trees speak my language. We bought our home in large part to the park like feel the yard had with its towering 25 year old trees. Trees are universally recognized to symbolize life, prosperity, and strength. Today I am sharing the awesome scroll tree stencil included with this month's kit.
The look of this card can be created in a few ways. I began by misting the back of the stencil with a repositionable spray adhesive and placing it, offset, on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Snow Layering Paper panel.
I Copic airbrushed the tree with RV29 (a pinky-red), Y15 (yellow), BG45 (teal) and FV2 (blue-ish purple). As the colors overlapped, secondary colors in orange and green developed.
A similar look can be created by ink blending with traditional inks or reactive inks and a round blending tool or blending brushes. Mediums like glimmer paste, embossing paste or embellishment mousse would be amazing too! Even staples like Versamark with embossing powder will be remarkable. Just be cautious to keep the points of the stencil securely in place for the integrity of the tree shape.
I white heat embossed a kit sentiment on black and popped it with dimensional adhesive. I adhered the panel to a Snow Folded Card and then a few Champagne sequins were added for the requisite bit of sparkle.

Beautiful tree, can’t wait to see the full kit, very curious to see the theme of kit as well. Our second home together was built on a lot full of trees and we raise our kids there, spent 23 years in that house, loved it there, just moved out a year ago and my husband does not miss one day of raking those leaves in the fall, LOL . I do agree that trees are beautiful and we’ve been planting some new ones on our lot of our new home since it was flat and had nothing on it. We were lucky enough to bring some plants and trees with us but we have a long way to go. Thanks for sharing .
