January My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + giveaway!

MMH Countdown to Creativity

Hello hello! I'm here with one last project made with our January My Monthly Hero kit, before the big launch tomorrow at noon eastern! Have you left a comment on all of the previous countdown posts? Be sure to do that TODAY - first thing tomorrow we'll be announcing the winner of one of these kits! For my card today, I took the stamps from the kit in a completely different direction. As much as I love Valentines cards (and even wedding cards!), I wanted to make an everyday card for a friend. I *really* love the "you are so incredibly awesome" sentiment in the kit, I know *many* people I should send cards to, using that one! :) So for today's card, I took the largest little solid heart stamp from the kit, and turned it into flowers! How fun is that? I just stamped it four times, with all of the bottoms of the hearts pointing into the center. A nice thing about Hero Arts Shadow Inks is that they even out as they dry - which helped the lines of the hearts blend together quite nicely! And who doesn't love heart-shaped leaves? I think it works! The flower centers were just dotted on with the eraser end of a pencil.

I wanted to tone down the background a bit to help that awesome sentiment stand out, so I layered on vellum. The kit has absolutely gorgeous vellum included - it's difficult to photograph, but it has tiny iridescent speckles in it. I am so in love!!

I also fished out the iridescent sequins from the kit's fabulous mix. So very pretty.

Be sure to leave your comments on all of the Countdown to Creativity posts we've shared - we'll pick one winner from all comments left across all of the posts! We'll announce the winner here on the blog at 7am eastern, prior to the launch of the kit at noon eastern - all tomorrow, Monday January 4! Get your shopping carts ready - as with all of our kits, quantities are limited and once they are gone, that's it! Thanks for stopping by.libby-sig
