February My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #1 + Giveaway

Hello and welcome as we begin the countdown to the release of the February My Monthly Hero kit! Release day is Monday, February 4 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. We’ll be here for the next three days, sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as new optional add-on products that will be available on Monday. And don’t forget to comment on each and every post as we’ll be giving away a kit on Monday morning, before the kit launches! In this post Caly shares the first look at this fantastic kit!

This month's kit takes us back to the 1920s and I could only picture black and gold in my head along with Jazz music. I've created a card today using the Fancy Die from the kit and paired it with a fun sentiment.

I die cut the background fancy die using gold cardstock and before adhering it to a piece of black cardstock, I placed both in my MISTI to line up the sentiment to emboss in white.

I then added thin strips of foam tape all over the back before adhering it to a piece of black cardstock for some added dimension and interest. This month's kit also comes with some fun gold and black flat sequins so I used the gold sequins and added a few to the open window around the sentiment.

I hope you're excited for this kit! Lots of goodies provided to take you back to fun era! Stay tuned for lots more inspiration!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, February 4, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
