December My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #3 + Giveaway!

Hello and welcome as we begin the countdown to the release of the December My Monthly Hero Kit! Release day is Monday, December 3rd at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. We will be here for the next three days, sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as the new optional add-on products that will also be available on Monday. As you've probably learned I am a sucker for cute furry critters and I fell hard for the adorable mouse in the kit! I combined him with some liquid watercolors and sparkles to create this dreamy card!

To start I stamped the mouse, dandelion seeds, and daisy onto watercolor paper with Versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I watercolored the images with liquid watercolors before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies included in the kit. I used pink, white, and black for the mouse; dandelion, mulled wine, and purple for the flower; and dandelion and leaf for the dandelion puff. I stamped the sentiment from the kit onto black cardstock with Versamark, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder, and trimmed it down to a thin label.

Next I stamped the dandelions onto the shimmery pink cardstock included in the kit with Versamark and heat-embossed them with black sparkle embossing powder (I told you I was going for lots of sparkle)! I trimmed the pink cardstock down and adhered it to a black card base and added the sentiment. Then I used foam mounting tape to adhere my daisy and mouse and regular adhesive for the dandelion seeds. Finally I added bits of clear lacquer to the dandelions and daisy and sprinkled it with snowfall glitter for even more sparkle!
