Autumn Pop-Up Shadow Card

Hola everyone! Pocono Pam here sharing a pop-up card with the newly released Happy Autumn Forest stamp and coordinating Frame Cuts. I followed Jennifer McGuire's Pop Up Shadow Box Cards tutorial on YouTube to create my card. I love how the scene turned out as it reminds me of many crisp, cool days living in Pennsylvania!

To create my card, I stamped the house, a few of the trees and the squirrel from the Wheelbarrow Friends set with Intense Black ink, colored the images with Copic Markers and die cut them. The snow bank was stamped with Soft Granite ink and colored with cool grey Copic Markers. I stamped the sentiment onto Dove White cardstock, then cut and matted it with Mist cardstock and set everything aside.

Next, I cut Dove White and Nautical cardstock to 5 1/2" X 6 1/4". I scored the length of the 5 1/2" edges each at 1/2", 1" from each edge. I created an accordion fold on the four ends. I then cut Mist cardstock to slightly less than 4 1/4" X 5 1/2".

On the Dove White cardstock - which will become the background - I used my Copic Airbrush Air Compressor and a few blue Copic Markers to create a sky background.

Next, I placed a Nested Circle Infinity Die onto the Nautical cardstock and cut a circle in the center using my die cutting machine. After noting placement, I used the next smallest infinity die to cut a circle in the Mist Cardstock.

Then... the fun part happened! Assembling the card! I stamped bare trees onto the background "sky" panel and used foam tape to lay the house. Using Precision Glue, I adhered the snow bank and die cut trees onto the back side of the Nautical cardstock. I placed the squirrel and sentiment on the opposite side and the front panel was complete!

I glued the Mist panel to the back of the front panel creating a nice, secure window for my card. I then adhered the front and back panels together with double-sided tape and the card was complete. When laid flat, the card is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", perfect for mailing.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek at my card today.

Leanne in Cali,

Love your beautiful card and the lovely scene you’ve created! Such a peaceful, wonderful feeling I get from looking at your card. Thank you for sharing!!

Rachel,

Beautiful card, the colors give it such a cozy feel!

Julie Wexler,

Beautiful card, Pam! Your coloring on this is picture perfect! Though I’m not ready yet for the white stuff, a cozy cabin in the woods with the fire already going is very appealing right now.

Barbara-Jean,

I love your card, Pam. I just ordered this stamp set yesterday along with the kit. I smile whenever I see your name as my parents honeymooned in the Poconos! I also appreciate your design skills on the Kids United set that arrived this week.thank you!

Patricia Wilson,

Love this card, simple and heartwarming! Nice colors!
