With the release of our 2020 Winter Collection, we are proud and excited to add four additional products to our Unity line of stamps and dies! We've partnered with Pocono Pam and Dana Joy for these products, in a conscious effort to be intentionally diverse and inclusive. Representation is so important, as crafters and cardmakers of color need to feel support, appreciation and respect when expressing their values, experiences and skin tone in their work. We are celebrating this spirit through unity, and this collaboration is a pathway for everyone to see themselves in their art. We are all one united creative community!

To celebrate the new products, today we're sharing projects from both Dana and Pam, and members of our Creative Team are joining in with inspiration as well with a blog hop. The entire Unity collection is linked in the thumbnails at the bottom of this post. Now without further adieu, let's begin with Dana's project!
Hey everyone. I’m super excited to be on the Hero Arts blog today sharing another stamp set from the Unity collection. Today I’m featuring the new Kids United stamp set. This stamp set has so much meaning to me and I’m thrilled for you to have it as well.
Pocono Pam and I wanted to create a stamp set that featured kids. I mean they are our future right? To see this stamp set come to life representing our version of children of color alongside their friends regardless of race is a powerful message. You see kids don’t see the race of one another. They just want to be friends. That innocence is what makes me smile. I wish some adults could see past their racism and judgement. Humanity should be top priority not the color of your skin.
This sweet image of these two little girls is what I wish I could see all the time. Friendship without limits.
When deciding to make this card, I knew I wanted to have the image on a heart. I used the Hero Arts Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies to create a heart shaped card. For my color medium I used Copic markers and stamped the image in Intense Black ink which is Copic friendly. Creating the clouds and grass was super easy to free hand and it completed the scene for my little girls.
There are several sentiments in the stamp set so the small "we are all one" was perfect to fit underneath the image. This card will fit into a regular A2 size envelope. I used the second to the largest heart for this card and it was so easy to make.
I hope you will embrace the innocence of this stamp set and make a few cards for your kids, neighborhood kids and your grandbabies. Let’s teach the younger generation that kindness matters. Dana and I are grateful and honored Hero Arts is as passionate about diversity and inclusion as we are. Today I am sharing a card from one of the new Unity Collection stamp sets: Power to the People. As the packaging states: Hero Arts, Dana and I hope this stamp set will encourage makers to become interested and committed to listening and learning from and about each other and recognize we are all one united creative community.
I stamped and masked the image from the Power to the People set with my Misti Mini. I then stamped the floral earth image from the Beautiful World stamp set several times on top of the masked image. I completed the circle and the entire image with Copic markers. I die-cut the 2nd smallest die in the Wood Frame Infinity Dies, and colored it with Copic markers as well. Once done, I stamped the sentiment. I love how the frame turned out! The details on the die are very detailed.
I adhered the "wood frame" onto my image and trimmed off the excess card stock. On a 5 1/8 X 3 3/4 panel, I stamped the flower from the Beautiful World set several times and matted it onto a top fold card base. I then adhered my framed image.
