Saturdays with Sally: Happy New Year (Almost!)

If you are like me, I have always overlooked sending a Christmas card to someone! So my remedy is to send a New Year’s card instead.

Here are two quick ideas using the Holiday Sparkles Bundle. For this first card, stamp three large stars with Embossing & Watermark Ink onto Adriatic Cardstock. Use Silver Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat to melt. Die cut the stars. Die cut smaller stars from Holiday Sparkle Glitter Paper. Stamp "Happy New Year" from Holiday Borders and Icons in Pitch Black Core Ink by inking only the last portion of the stamp. Stamp "2023" using the numbers from Essential Uppercase Letters & Numbers. Mount onto glitter paper. Arrange all the pieces as shown with foam tape and glue.

This “Palm Springs” New Year card uses dies only and the same message. Die cut the large stars in Ultra Pink, Papaya and Paradise cardstocks. Die cut smaller stars in the same colors plus glitter papers. Stamp the same new year message in black and arrange the stars as shown, and mount with foam tape and glue.

Add some confetti to the envelopes - perhaps the Frost Sequins mix - and yell "HAPPY NEW YEAR!”

Happy Holidays everyone and best wishes for the best year ever in 2023!!
