Slimline Peace, Love & Joy

Hello and welcome! Seeka here and today I'm sharing a slimline card featuring the Looking Glass Peace Love Joy die set. These dies can be used separately or combined, as I've done here.

I started by cutting two 3.5" x 8.5" pieces of Dove White cardstock. I positioned the Alignment Tool Slimline Stencil over one panel and used the three openings in the stencil as guides to position the three Looking Glass dies, which I held in place with low-tack tape. I removed the stencil and ran the panel and dies through a die cutting machine. Then I removed the dies and fallout pieces and set the panel aside.

Next, I used ink blending brushes to blend four colors of ink over the second panel. I started by blending Aquatic ink over the bottom half of the panel and Ultra Pink over the top half and then blended the two colors together where they met in the middle of the panel. Next, I deepened the blue at the bottom of the panel by blending on Navy ink and deepened the pink at the top of the panel by blending on Red Royal ink.

To assemble the card, I used foam tape to adhere the die cut panel to the ink-blended background and then I used Precision Glue to adhere white snowflakes that I die cut using a die from the Large Snowflakes And Swirls die set. I trimmed the snowflakes where they hung off the edge of the card front and then to finish, I adhered the card front to a card base.

Thank you so much for visiting!
