Nautilus Pattern Bold Prints In So Many Ways!

Welcome everyone! This is Mindy here with you today to share some inspiration using the new  Nautilus Pattern Bold Prints  background stamp on your cards. There are many different techniques but I will be focusing on just one in particular. In fact, I was able to create five different cards with this technique and could have done more!

I have a video showing you step-by-step how to create these cards that you can view HERE on my YouTube channel.

All of the backgrounds are created using a gel plate. It is a fun tool that allows me to create blended backgrounds quickly. Did you know you can stamp and stencil on it too? Oh yes, you can!

I found the most beautiful color combination to use for my backgrounds. This first card is taking Tide Pool and Indigo Inks and smooshing them onto my gel plate. Then I'll blend them together with a rubber brayer. I'll use this same technique on the rest of the cards but just change up the color combinations for a little variation.

Once the background is blended with the brayer, I will take the Nautilus Pattern Bold Prints  background and stamp it into the ink. I can carefully remove the stamp and place a piece of  Dove White cardstoc k down onto the gel press.

After I apply pressure over the entire cardstock and carefully pull up, I'm left with this beautiful print! Once I created many prints, all I needed to do was add a few dies and a sentiment.

The Seashells Fancy Die was a perfect match for these cards and paired nicely with a sentiment from the Color Layering Abalone stamp set.

I decided to step up my color combination a bit by smooshing on Tide Pool , Indigo and Navy ink. I really wanted to go for a deep blue sea vibe.

The shells from the Seashells Fancy Die are die cut from Dove White cardstock and then lightly ink blended with Lemon Drop , Taffy , Thistle and Splash Reactive Inks using the blending brushes . A few other colors I  pulled are Soft Brown and Pumpkin Pie for the star fish and sand dollar.

The sky's the limit for sentiments. This particular one, "I Miss You", comes from the Hello There Stamp & Cut .

These backgrounds are also great for large die cut sentiments like this one below.

Once again, I adhered down some ink blended shells from the Seashells Fancy Die but then also added this die cut sentiment from the Big Hugs Stamp & Cut .

Pair it with a border? Why not? This card is featuring a background created with Tide Pool , Indigo and Navy Ink with the Nautilus Bold Prints  stamp and this time I added the Swirling Tide Border Fancy Die

I think the white of the frame and die cut word from the Hello There Stamp & Cut really makes the background pop.

This next card I changed up colors a bit but using Lime Green , Deep Ocean and Navy Ink.

It was such a bright background that I didn't feel it needed anymore color to it so I just die cut more shells from Dove White cardstock and added then straight to the front of the card.

This is also paired with a sentiment from the Color Layering Abalone stamp set that is stamped in Intens-ified Black ink

I hope these cards have inspired you today! I really enjoyed creating all these backgrounds to share.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
