March My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway!

We are back with another look at the March My Monthly Hero release! The kit will be available on Monday, March 6th at 1pm eastern/10am pacific. We’ll be sharing ideas for using the main kit and the optional add-on products all weekend long, so stay tuned for more inspiration! Now let’s join Clare, who is sharing another look at the main kit, available on Monday!

One of the great things about this kit is how well it works for those who really like to color, and those who just, well, aren’t so good at it. I am definitely one of those who are not so great when it comes to coloring, and I just couldn’t stop using the adorable bunnies from the main kit! They’re so easy to color, even for me, but they also look so cute when they’re not colored! To see what I mean, here’s the card I made for today…

Okay, okay, I did add a little coloring – a little blush for their cheeks, but that’s it!

To create my background, I stamped all the bunnies from the main stamp set in Charcoal, masking out their eyes so that I could add my own later with a grey marker. After I stamped them and added their eyes in again, I masked each of them with a sticky post-it I had die cut using the coordinating dies. I then blended a background using Soft Pink, and removed the masks.

I stamped one extra bunny, die cut it twice, adhere both cuts together, and adhered them together on the card, to make sure my one bunny stood out.

I die cut a border using the Rectangle Infinity dies, then adhered it on my card base with some dimensional adhesive after adding my sequin mix.

For the sentiment, I stamped my sentiment in Versamark (using a Versamark pen to add a little exclamation), and then heat embossed it in white. I die cut it using the speech bubble from Yes Stamp and Cut and adhered it to my card.

This card would also work well as a spring or Easter card, and you could easily change up the colors!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, March 6th, before the kit launches at 1 pm eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
