Hidden Belated Birthday Message

Hello, crafty friends! Seeka here and today I'm sharing a card featuring the sweet Library Card Stamp & Cut XL set. This set makes me feel so nostalgic for my childhood library; I can still feel the extra tug it took to pull out tight wood card catalog drawers, and I can hear the sound of the librarian stamping due dates!

I began by die cutting the library card out of Dove White cardstock and the card sleeve out of Paradise cardstock. I assembled the sleeve by folding along the score lines and using double-sided tape to adhere the side flaps to the back of the sleeve.

Next, I stamped the details of the library card in Onyx Pigment ink. Using Rose Madder Bold ink, I stamped the "you" sentiment at the top of the card, as well as the hidden "A belated happy birthday" sentiment at the bottom of the card. For the "overdue" sentiment, I used Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink and White Embossing Powder to heat emboss the word onto a piece of Paradise cardstock.

Then, I die cut a variety of white and pink flowers flowers, and white and blue leaves, using dies from the Envelope Accessories Fancy Dies set. I used Dove White, Paradise, and Azalea cardstocks.

For the background, I used Moonstone Pigment Ink to stamp the Novel Prose Bold Prints pattern onto Dove White cardstock. I trimmed this panel down to 4" x 5.25".

To assemble the card, I began by using Precision Glue to adhere the card sleeve onto the background. Then I adhered the flowers and leaves using small adhesive dots and added the "overdue" sentiment with foam tape. Next, I used more foam tape to adhere the card front to a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of Pebble cardstock, which I in turn adhered to a Dove White card base. Finally, I slid the library card into the sleeve.

Thank you so much for visiting!
