Steampunk New Year

Hola everyone! Pocono Pam here today, sharing a mini slimline card I created showcasing the Steampunk Holiday stamp set and the coordinating Frame Cuts. This set features steampunk-inspired gears, border elements, a bird, an angel, and a top hat-wearing owl, along with four sentiments.

The time pieces and gears in the set are perfect for a New Year card. My card came together quickly and is perfect to mass produce.

To begin, I cut and scored Pitch Black cardstock to measure 3.5” x 5.5”. Keeping the card base folded, I stamped and heat embossed the Gear Clock Bold Prints with clear embossing powder onto the card base.

Next, I patted a 1.5” x 4” strip of white cardstock with clear embossing ink and heated gold embossing powder. I then die-cut three “2”s from the Classic Number Fancy Dies set.

I then, stamped and heat embossed the owl from Steampunk Holiday with gold embossing powder onto Dove White cardstock. I die-cut the owl with the coordinating Frame Cut and popped it onto the card base with foam dots for dimension.

To complete the card, I adhered the “2”s onto the card on either side of the owl to form the year 2022.

For an added touch, a handwritten sentiment can be written with a gold metallic marker. A gold embossed sentiment can be placed inside the card for an elegant touch as well.

I hope I have inspired and motivated you to create a few Happy New Year cards for your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors and service workers.

Thanks for taking a peek. Enjoy the rest of your week!
