'Tis the season for lots of chicken soup! I was recently making some - and as I looked at my dishes, a lightbulb went off and I found the perfect color combo for a card! Here’s an idea using our fun new Alphabet Soup stamp set.
I began by stamping the Alphabet Soup Bold Prints background in black ink on a white card. (One of my faves!) Next I stamped the bowl and plate once on white and again on turquoise cardstock. I painted the bowl I had stamped on white paper with some of the new Liquid Watercolors - in Dandelion and ArtPrint Brown. Once that was dry I cut it out and mounted it onto the turquoise plate.
To create a "placemat", I stamped the "x" and "o" repeatedly tone on tone with yellow ink and paper, and matted that panel in turquoise. I stamped the spoon on gray paper and hand-trimmed, mounting on the card with foam tape. I made a little "napkin" by stamping the "x" and "o" again in black on a scrap of paper, which I softly watercolored with Indigo. I tied a bit of ribbon around the napkin, and finished the card with some "soup" made of Sunshine sequins.
Try finding color inspiration around your house, and have fun with it!
