Easy Striped Father's Day Card

Good morning everyone. It's Dana here with you today. It's almost Father's Day. Do you have your cards ready? I'm here to share a quick and easy Father's Day card you can create in minutes.

Let's get into the card. This one might be one of my most favorite Father's Day cards. I love the simplicity of it with the white and blue color combination.

I started my card off by die cutting the new Lighthouse Window Fancy Die from Dove White cardstock. This lighthouse is perfect for cardmaking. You can use it as is or turn it into a fabulous shaker card. I set this piece aside as I worked on my background.

To back the window die, blues were my go to colors. Starting with a piece of 4.25" x 5.5" piece of Nautical cardstock, I adhered 1/2" strips of Arctic cardstock approximately 1/2" distance apart from each other using Precision Glue. This made a very pleasing backdrop. Now it was time to add the lighthouse panel onto this piece, also with Precision Glue.

The last step was to add a sentiment. Using the Everyday Sentiments stamp set, I stamped the Happy Father's Day sentiment in Nautical ink onto Dove White cardstock. Trimming down this sentiment with the coordinating Sentiments Strips Fancy Die, it fit perfectly onto my striped background. For added dimension, I adhered the sentiment with foam tape. Placing this panel onto a Dove White Side Folded Card finished off this card nicely.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope I have inspired you to create your Father's Day cards this year. Have a wonderful day everyone.
