Today we're delighted to have Debi Adams here to share some fabulous “beyond the kit” ideas for a few of the add-ons.

Hi friends! Happy to have you here on Wednesday of release week as I get to share a few cards using the NEW My Monthly Hero add-ons for April. This month’s offerings are just as fabulous as last month's. There’s not one set that was released that I don’t love. And can I just say that the artist in me is head over heels for both of the sets seen in the cards below. (I’ve also included one of my standard favorites as well.) They are great for all occasion cards but make up well for Mother’s Day too!

This first card features the brand new Shoes and Hat Fancy Die set. It was die-cut from watercolor paper and embellished with the Daniel Smith Watercolor Dot Palette. It was set on top of one of my all-time favorites, the Flower Garden Fancy Die. It seemed to go so well with the hat and filled in the background perfectly. A stamped sentiment from the new Floral Mandala stamp set completed the card.

This second card has a cut out window to house the new Looking Glass Swan Family. Aren’t those swans the prettiest? And the cattails frame them perfectly. I love how the three dies come together to create a dimensional scene. They can also be used separately so you have more options should you choose to do something different. To finish the card, I added a few of the daisies from the Shoes and Hat Fancy Die set and then embossed the sentiment (Mandala set, again) onto Dove White cardstock using gold embossing powder. It all looks so peaceful and serene to me.

Well that’s just a little showing of the amazing designs brought to you by Hero Arts and their fabulous in-house Art Design Team. I’m always impressed by their creativity and feel so fortunate to get to play with their images. I hope you will check out all of the new collection this month. One of them might be your new favorite!

Thanks for stopping in!
