Whimsical Christmas Cheer with Lisa Horton’s All About Christmas Collection
Hello crafty friends! I am Lorena Wakefield. I’m so thrilled to be back as a guest designer on the Spellbinders Blog. Today, I’m sharing a festive trio of handmade cards using the absolutely delightful Lisa Horton All About Christmas Collection. These designs are brimming with charm, texture, and holiday cheer, perfect for sending love this season!
Each card features a unique scene, brought to life through dimensional die cuts, playful birds, sparkly elements, and a clean, fresh color palette. Let’s take a closer look at each one:
Merry Christmas Bells
This card centers around a glittering pair of holiday bells tied with a big red bow. I layered them over a soft stitched panel with scalloped edges and grounded the design with a bright red poinsettia. The bold “Merry” sentiment is highlighted in pink with a clean “Christmas” stamped underneath, perfect for a classic holiday feel.
Merry and Bright Star
For the second card, I created a glowing star backdrop using soft pink and white tones, adding two sweet little birds perched on top. The large “Merry” takes center stage, and I finished the sentiment with a “and Bright” label for a cheerful modern twist. A magenta card base adds a bold contrast and helps everything pop!
Christmas Blessings with Birds
This final card is all about dimension and cuteness. I used the charming little birds in Santa hats perched on a snowy branch. The lattice background adds subtle structure, and the “Christmas Blessings” sentiment ties it all together with elegance. This card is perfect for anyone who loves a whimsical, joyful aesthetic.
These cards were so much fun to create, and I hope they inspire you to dive into this collection and spread some handmade happiness this holiday season!
