Video Friday | Rainbow Confetti Background with Kelly
Apr 20, 2018
Hello Crafters! It's Kelly Latevola here and I'm so excited to be back on the Spellbinders blog. I have a super colorful and really fun background technique for you guys today.
It's no secret I'm a big fan of Tammy Tutterow and this Party stamp and die set is no exception. I thought it would be festive to create a rainbow background to go with the stamp set. I wanted something that would mimic an explosion of confetti.
I stamped my Party stamp on both watercolor paper and white cardstock. I needed two pieces to pop up some of my elements. I added some ink blending to the watercolor piece before I started in adding those beautiful rainbow colors.

I think the fine spatters of Distress Oxide really add something fun and and different to my usual go to background. The best part is you absolutely cannot do it wrong. Every time will look different and super pretty!
Even though we popped up only part of the sentiment it's still completely legible. From the side you can see the added dimension and those sparkly glitters. You know a card of mine isn't finished if there's no glitter on it :)
