Step by Step Tutorial: Beyond Scrapbooking! Cardmaking with Say Cheese Classic Mouse

Hi there crafty friends! I’m Rebecca Keppel and today I am sharing a tutorial for creating a bright happy birthday card!

Step by Step Tutorial: Beyond Scrapbooking! Cardmaking with Say Cheese Classic Mouse

You may be familiar with Simple Stories Say Cheese collections. Maybe you have even used one of their Say Cheese collections to scrapbook your favorite theme park. But the new Say Cheese Classic Mouse includes Spellbinders Dies as well as lots of Simple Stories papers and embellishments that can be used for cardmaking too! Beyond Scrapbooking! Cardmaking with Say Cheese Classic Mouse, S5-704, SS23415, SS23417, SS23418, SS23425 First, cut the Classic Mouse Borders Die with the music notes out of Raven Cardstock and the rope border out of Pomegranate Cardstock. Beyond Scrapbooking! Cardmaking with Say Cheese Classic Mouse, S5-704, SS23415, SS23417, SS23418, SS23425 Use Spellbinders Best Ever Craft Tape to hold the die in place and run it through the Spellbinders Platinum 6 Machine. Beyond Scrapbooking! Cardmaking with Say Cheese Classic Mouse, S5-704, SS23415, SS23417, SS23418, SS23425 Use the Spellbinders Guillotine Trimmer to cut out one of the 3x4” elements from the Simple Stories Say Cheese Classic Mouse 6x8 Paper Pad. Beyond Scrapbooking! Cardmaking with Say Cheese Classic Mouse, S5-704, SS23415, SS23417, SS23418, SS23425 I want the “happy” of my happy birthday to be even bigger than the one included in the bingo element I chose, so I cut it off and trimmed off the bottom too. This will make it fit better on my 4.25”x5.5” (A2) card. Beyond Scrapbooking! Cardmaking with Say Cheese Classic Mouse, S5-704, SS23415, SS23417, SS23418, SS23425 I chose a whimsical, colorful dot-patterned paper from the pad and cut that into the A2 size. I cut some white cardstock down to 3.75”x5.0” size. Beyond Scrapbooking! Cardmaking with Say Cheese Classic Mouse, S5-704, SS23415, SS23417, SS23418, SS23425 Add liquid adhesive to the back of the red border and apply it to the left-hand side of the white cardstock and trim off any of the border that hangs off of the top and bottom. Beyond Scrapbooking! Cardmaking with Say Cheese Classic Mouse, S5-704, SS23415, SS23417, SS23418, SS23425 Again, add liquid adhesive to the back of the music note border, but this time adhere it to the top of the white cardstock. Beyond Scrapbooking! Cardmaking with Say Cheese Classic Mouse, S5-704, SS23415, SS23417, SS23418, SS23425 Add Spellbinders Foam Squares to the back of the white cardstock and adhere that to the patterned paper. Beyond Scrapbooking! Cardmaking with Say Cheese Classic Mouse, S5-704, SS23415, SS23417, SS23418, SS23425 Add Foam Squares to the back of the bingo card element and adhere it to the white cardstock, leaving enough room above it for another element. Beyond Scrapbooking! Cardmaking with Say Cheese Classic Mouse, S5-704, SS23415, SS23417, SS23418, SS23425 Use the “happy” from the Simple Stories Say Cheese Chipboard Stickers above the birthday element. Add one of the chipboard heart stickers to the bingo element. Beyond Scrapbooking! Cardmaking with Say Cheese Classic Mouse, S5-704, SS23415, SS23417, SS23418, SS23425 It is so easy to embellish your card further with the Simple Stories Say Cheese Classic Mouse Decorative Brads because they are self-adhesive. Simply peel and stick! Beyond Scrapbooking! Cardmaking with Say Cheese Classic Mouse, S5-704, SS23415, SS23417, SS23418, SS23425 I did add one small star die cut from the Simple Stories Say Cheese Classic Mouse Bits and Pieces.
