Spellbinders Felt Stitch & Create with Dana Kirbi

Hello Friends! It’s Dana here today with three projects that use the amazing new Felt Stitch & Create collection from Nichol Spohr. This collection includes eight die sets and five felt packs that are perfect for creating holiday ornaments, plushies, gift tags, home decor items, cards and so much more! I decided to create three ornaments to share with you all today. I can’t wait to hang them from our Christmas tree or to tie onto a few gifts this holiday season. Spellbinders Felt Stitch & Create with Dana Kirbi, S7-262, FS-001 For my first ornament, I used the Felt Snowman Star Etched Die Set. I started my ornament by die-cutting all of my pieces with the Merino Wool Felt Sheets- Holiday Collection. I then stitched all of the details onto the front of my ornament with three strands of coordinating DMC floss. Once the accessories were attached I stitched the snowman closed adding stuffing before I completely closed the ornament. Lastly, I stitched the mittens and hat (also added some baker’s twine to hang the ornament) onto the snowman as a final detail. Spellbinders Felt Stitch & Create with Dana Kirbi, S5-659, FS-001 For my next ornament, I used the Felt Candy Cane Etched Die Set, along with the Holiday Collection of felt. I again used DMC floss for my stitching. Once my candy cane was finished I added the festive holly and berry cluster as a final touch. I just love this candy cane design and I think it will be so fun to die cut it from cardstock to make some Christmas tags! Spellbinders Felt Stitch & Create with Dana Kirbi, S7-265, FS-001, FS-002 For my third ornament I used the Felt Gingerbread Boy & Girl Etched Die Set, and the Neutral Collection of felt, and the Holiday Collection. Once my ornament was finished I added a little tree to the gingerbread boy’s left hand and added a small jingle bell to the top of his hat for a little added detail. Thanks for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed my projects. The Felt Stitch & Create Collection is so fun to use, I know you will love it!! I love that all of the dies can be mixed and matched to give you so many fun options. I hope I inspired you to give them a try!! Enjoy your day, Dana
