Embossing Folders Cards Trio with Yasmin Diaz

Hello, Spellbinders friends! Yasmin here sharing with you a very colorful trio of cards made showcasing NEW Embossing Folder Collection. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them.

Scallops

This collection includes this fabulous Scallops Embossing Folder which can be use as borders, waves or why not for a cloudy sky just like I‘m using it for the first example. I started by placing an A2 white card panel inside the embossing folder and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine following the dry embossing instructions.

Once I had finished dry embossing it, I went ahead to add a slightly pop of color to it using an ink blending brush along with a light Aqua color ink. Thus, as soon as I added the pop of color to it, I’ve gone ahead to adhere the backing of it with double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base and then, I’ve gone ahead to get the embellishing done using, some die-cutting rainbows and clouds which, I’ve had previously die-cut out of cardstock using a die from a previous glimmer club kit of the month. Last but certainly not least, I finished the card off by mounting a glimmer foiled sentiment and by gluing down with liquid glue here and there crystal sequins to add an extra touch of shine.

Sun Rays

For the second example, I made a partial floral wreath with a white on white textured background panel so therefore, I went ahead to dry emboss an A2 size white card panel using Sun Rays Embossing Folder and once again the instructions from my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

Once, I had finished the dry embossing for the card panel, I went ahead to adhere the backing of it with double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base. And then, I went ahead to embellish the focal point of the card so therefore to do that, I mounted a die-cutting white circle in the center of the card with a narrow piece of craft foam tape to add a bit of dimension, and as soon as I had that done, I’ve gone ahead to glue down some of the die-cutting flowers and leaves on the upper and bottom part of the die-cutting circle. Last but not least, I mounted a glimmer foiled sentiment in the center of the card and then, I’ve gotten glue down some of the crystal sequins to add a touch of shine. NOTE: I used Standard Circle LG Die Set to die-cut out of white cardstock the large circle frame, Simply Perfect Layered Blooms Etched Dies to die-cut the flowers and sprigs and, Heart Melt Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set as the sentiment for the card.

Plaid Company

For the third and last example, I created a clean and simple encouragement card with a plaid textured white card panel so therefore, to do that I repeated the same steps as I did for the previous dry embossing card panel however, using this time Plaid Company Embossing Folder. Thus, as soon as I had finished dry embossing the card pane, I’ve gone ahead to adhere the backing of with double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base.

Next, I created the die-cutting floral cluster for the card by using dies from the same die set that I used in the previous example. So, as soon as I had the floral cluster done, I’ve gone ahead to mount with craft foam tape a dotted card panel right in the center of the card front and then, I glued down with liquid glue the floral cluster on the left side of it. Lastly, to finish the card off, I mounted a glimmer hot foiled sentiment and then I went ahead to glue down here and there crystal sequins to compliment the shine on all 3 examples. NOTE: I used, Mini Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set for the sentiment on this example and Nestabilities Essential Rectangles Etched Dies Set to create the dotted card panel.
