October My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #2 + Giveaway

October My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #2 + Giveaway

Hello! We are continuing the countdown to the release of the October My Monthly Hero Kit! Release day is Monday, October 7 at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. We will be here all weekend, sharing inspiration before the launch. Now let's join Michelle for another look at this fabulous kit!

Hello there, Michelle here and I am delighted to be sharing another countdown card with you today. This is such a fabulous kit and I thought that it would be fun to go for non-traditional Christmas colours for my card today.

Merry Christmas by Michelle Short for Hero Arts

I started off by stamping the car, tree and presents from the main kit stamp set on to white cardstock with Intens-ified Black Ink. I coloured them with Copic Markers and then die cut them out using the coordinating dies in the kit. These were set aside while I worked on my snowy background.

I took a panel of white cardstock and using a blending brush, I blended Pool Party Reactive Ink on to the top portion of the panel. I faded to white at the bottom, to resemble snow. I took White Iridescent Shimmer Spray and spritzed it over the panel. I also added some additional snow with Distress Spray Stain in Picket Fence.

The panel was then set aside to dry. Once dry, I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set on to the panel in the top left hand corner, with more Intens-ified Black Ink. The card, presents and tree were then added on with foam tape. I took Precision Glue and added little dabs of this over the images. I then sprinkled on the Prisma Glitter from the kit, for some added sparkle.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, October 7, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Good Luck!

Cute vintage design. Looks like a 50s Plymouth Fury. My parents had a pink Plymouth. I can’t see my dad driving a pink car. :)

The classic car will be so useful for not only Christmas cards but great for masculine Birthday cards.
