Video: Diecut Layering Technique

Hi everyone! Today I've got a simple technique to share that will add dimension and elevate your cards to the next level. Check out the video below for some diecut layering!

If you are having trouble viewing this video, please try watching it HERE on YouTube.

Dies like the Leaves & Vines Fancy Die are perfect for this technique. It makes a big statement and it's a quick card to pull together.

The Luggage Tag Alphabet is a great basic alphabet die set to have in your craft supplies. You can create your own sentiments or personalize cards with the recipient's name.

TIP: For even more interest, you could add a third diecut layer using the Leaves & Vines die. A white or black layer would really make the die pop off the card.

I hope you enjoyed the cards and are inspired to try out this technique with some of your favorite colors!

Janet Wilson,

Gorgeous ideas with this die… I feel very inspired to get cracking (and, the best part is I have this die – whooo hooo). Thank you for such a fabulous video.

ELAINE STEFANACCI,

Which die cutting machine are you using? It doesn’t look familiar. Always checking out new tools. Thank for your inspiration.

Henriëtte Mulder,

Beautiful cards Kelly.
Great tip to use a darker cut out for a shadow.
Thank you so much for the great video tutorial,
stay safe and have a wonderful weekend.

Melissa SunshineHoneybee,

Like the offsetting of the leaves and stacking letters. I do not think I have the leaves die cut but do have the letter dies.

Patricia Wilson,

So pretty and taking a one dimensional background die to another level. I loved this. Also, using those large alphabet dies that we don’t use often enough. Thank you.
