Video: How to Use Holiday Sentiments as a Focal Point

Hey everyone. It's Dana here with you today. Using sentiment strips on your card is an easy way to make a statement. However using a tree full of sentiments is a sure WOW factor. Let me show you how to create a beautiful holiday card using the new  Holiday Sentiment Strips  and the  Sentiment Strips Fancy Die .

You can watch the full tutorial below or HERE on the Hero Arts YouTube channel where you can see everything in detail.

First things first, let's pick our colors for the card. I used  Cherry , Meadow and Shamrock cardstock. I also needed a background for my card, so I used the Nutcracker Bold Prints  stamp.

What's so great about using the Holiday Sentiments Stamp set with the Sentiment Strips Fancy Die? There are 21 sentiments you can use on one card OR you can use just a few and save the rest for later.

Also heat embossing really steps up a card. I used  Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink  with  Detail White Embossing Powder  for my card.

To create depth on your card, use a couple shades of the same color. Here I used two coordinating colors of green. You could use pinks, blues, yellow, or any color of your choice. Just make sure that your color combo uses the same saturation of color or hue. For added dimension, pop up a few of your sentiments on foam strips.

Make your card producing easier by grabbing yourself some  Dove White Side Folded Cards  or  Dove White Top Folded Cards . These are card bases already cut and scored. All you have to do is place your card panel on top.

Hope you have a wonderful time creating your holiday cards this year. Reminder : the HeroFest Holiday Cheer Card Drive is in full swing! We are so grateful for your participation. Please mail your cards into Hero Arts by November 18 and we will donate them to the Bay Area Rescue Mission. Click HERE for all of the details!
