VIDEO: Disco Ball Shaker Card with the October Card Kit

Hello, everyone! It's Channin here and today I’m sharing a shaker card I created with the October Hero Studio release!

Check out the video below to see how I created this fun and festive disco ball shaker with the October Card Kit of the Month and the Nesting Circle Infinity Dies, which the Have a Ball Die Set (from the Card Kit) was designed to work with.

To create this card I first die cut the Matte Gold paper included in the kit with the disco ball from the Have a Ball Die Set. I then die cut a clear panel with the second largest die from the Nesting Circle Infinity Die Set. Next, I adhered the clear circle to the backside of the gold disco ball. I then die cut four cardstock rings with the second largest and third largest Nesting Circle Infinity dies. Next, I adhered the rings together and then adhered them to the backside of the clear circle.

I then die cut the bow layers out of Poppy and Dahlia cardstocks included in the kit. Next, I adhered the layers together.I then stamped and gold heat-embossed a sentiment, an ornament topper and the disco ball from the Deck the Halls with Disco Balls stamp set. Next, I stamped the three disco ball layers in Hero Arts inks (Fruit Punch Reactive Ink, Azalea + Pale Tomato, and Cotton Candy). When I finished stamping the disco ball layers I then die cut the sentiment and images out with the coordinating dies.

I trimmed down the Blush cardstock to create an A2 panel (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") and adhered the panel to an A2 top-folding white card base. I then placed sequins from the Champagne Sequin Mix down onto the card front. Next, I spread the sequins out, making sure most of the sequins were in a single layer and then adhered the stacked disco ball on top. I then adhered the ornament topper to the stamped disco ball and then adhered it and the sentiment to the card front. Lastly, I finished the card by adding some diecut starbursts created with the Have a Ball Die Set and the Matte Gold paper.

I hope you enjoyed my card and video. Thank you so much for stopping by!
