Video: Color Layering Fox Cards | Color Layering With Yana Series

Hero's Color Layering sets have been favorites of mine for years. I am always anxiously looking forward to a new release to see what new sets there are for us to play with.

Color Layering With Yana Series

That being said I'm very excited to introduce a new, special feature for the Hero Arts blog and YouTube channel called "Color Layering with Yana". In each one of my monthly videos I will explore different ink pad and embossing powder color options for Hero Arts Color Layering sets and will hopefully inspire you to stamp!

In this post and video I'm taking a closer look at the Color Layering Fox set and I have 4 unique color combos to share.

Watch the video tutorial below to learn how I made the cards I'm sharing today and see me explore various color combinations for this stamp set.

If you’re having a problem viewing this video, please try watching it HERE in HD on YouTube.

Let's start with Hero's suggested color combo for this set which is Tangerine, Caramel and Black (please note, I am using Black as the 3rd color for every one of my combos today).

After stamping the fox onto white cardstock I cut it out with the help of coordinating dies and dressed up with the help of a bow tie stamped in Soft Brown ink.

To create a background for this card I Brass heat embossed Forest & Deer Bold Prints background onto brown cardstock, foam mounted panel onto an A2 white card base, foam mounted the fox, added "Hey Foxy" sentiment heat embossed in white and embellished my card using Sunshine Ombre sequins

To create the next card, Happy Fall, I used Ombré inks in Autumn and Sand to Cup O' Joe as well as black.

I foam mounted my fox onto an A2 card base covered with woodgrain white cardstock, added a few Pumpkin stamped leaves and embellished with sequins.

I dry embossed a yellow cardstock panel with an Abstract Waves stencil and blended Caramel ink on top.

Next I stamped Hello from the "Hello Stamp & Cut" set in black ink, foam mounted my fox, dressed him up in trendy glasses and embellished this card using same Sunshine sequins.

My final color combo included Soft Brown and Cup O' Joe inks. To make this card I freehand cut a mask, blended Soft Sky ink to create a snowy hill and foam mounted an adult and baby fox.

I also embellished this card using Ombre Ocean Sequins
