Video: Targeted Ink Blending & a Subtle Background

Hi crafty friends! It's Jeannie and today, I'm excited to share a new video with you focusing on the Love You So Much Cover Plate die from the latest release.

If you are having trouble viewing this video, please watch HERE on YouTube.

To create this card, I used the Love You So Much Cover Plate and did some selective ink blending with a mix of Hero Hues Reactive Inks: Berry Smoothie , Grape Slush and Blue Hawaii with the Medium and Large Hero Tools Ink Blending Brushes. I just love these colors blended together.

Since this was a really bold die, I wanted a very subtle background. The Ode to Andy Warhol Script Bold Prints , also in this release, pairs perfectly with this die. I actually tried to stamp and heat emboss this with White Satin Pearl over Nautical cardstock, but it was too busy behind the die and so I ended up with White Satin Pearl  embossing powder over Granite , which was a more subtle look.

I didn't want the heat embossed  Nautical  cardstock to go to waste, so I actually ended up trimming down my main panel and matched it up the background with the Nautical  panel. It's a VERY subtle detail but it made my heart happy to line it up perfectly.

Thank you for joining me here today and I hope you enjoyed it! Remember -- even if something doesn't work out at first, it's just paper -- try something else!
