Video: A Closer Look At New Ombré Ink and Quick Monochromatic Cards

I am a big fan of Hero Arts ombré inks – I love using them for backgrounds, color layering stamps and more. Today I have simple monochromatic Thinking Of You cards to give you a closer look at the 4 new ombré pads – Ombré Hydrangea, Ombré Soft Sky To Indigo, Ombré Meadow and Ombré Spring Brights.

I paired new colors with a beautiful Fancy Thinking of You stamp to create focal point sentiments for my cards. This stamp is rather large and is perfect for striking A2 cards.

I also used Color Layering Bird and Blossoms stamp set and Frame Cuts dies to create Spring branches for my cards. I wanted to create the illusion of a sentiment floating in the sky and the person seeing it through the branches of a blooming tree.

With the Birds and Blossoms stamp set I find it easier to align images when I have the die cuts ready first. This way it’s much easier to tell which flower image goes with which branch, I find this saves time and gives me better results.

I used Cup ‘o Joe brown ink to stamp the branches and used my 4 new ombré inks to stamp flowers and birds. After foam mounting images onto my sentiment panels I trimmed the excess branches and foam mounted my panels onto A2 top folding card bases made out of kraft cardstock. I also added a bit of natural twine and little clear drops to finish my cards.

Here’s a closer look at each of the 4 cards I made:
