Sweet Birthday Wishes

Hi there! Today I'm sharing one of my cards that was featured in the 2016 Summer Catalog using the hero_product_link sku="CL963" text="Color Layering Ice Cream"] set. I used a little bit different technique for the layering part and I love how it turned out!

Sweet Birthday Wishes by Kelly Rasmussen for Hero Arts

I started out by stamping the cone and two scoops of ice cream using Antique Linen Distress Ink. Then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to lightly watercolor the base layer of green, pink and brown. Once that was dry I used hero_product_link sku="AF334" text="Strawberry"] and hero_product_link sku="AF344" text="Green Apple Bold Inks"] to add the top detail layer of ice cream and hero_product_link sku="AF214" text="Cup O' Joe"] for the cone texture.

I cut apart the sentiment, so I could align it along the angle of the cone and stamped it in black ink. A cherry on top of the cone covered in Glossy Accents and some red pearls finished off the card.

This stamp set along with all of the other products in the Summer Catalog are available at Hero Arts retailers now and will be available in the online shop on May 11th.

Have a sweet day!
