Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #12

Hi friends! We're back with another Stay Crafty With Hero challenge, and this one's a pretty easy one. The theme is Friendship. Any sort of friendship card will do! So get crafting, and share your creations with friends. We'll include all of the challenge details further down this post, but first, here's some beautiful inspiration from Jessica!

Hi friends, Jess here with a cheery card for our new friendship challenge!

I just love ink-smooshing and thought it would be perfect to create an inky environment for my jellyfish! To start I stamped the jellyfish from Need a Hand with Watermark & Embossing Ink on watercolor paper and heat-embossed them with Gold Glitter Embossing Powder. Then I used Pool Party and Blue Raspberry Reactive Inks to color the teal shades of the jellyfish and Pink liquid watercolor for the pink shades. I simply smooshed the Reactive Ink on an acrylic block, added a little water and used them just like the liquid watercolors!

I set those aside to dry before die-cutting them with the coordinating Frame Cuts.  While that was drying I worked on my background! I started by smooshing Pool Party and Blue Raspberry Reactive Ink onto a scrap piece of acetate (I like to use my leftover stamp packaging) and then I spritzed it with water and used my finger to blot any harsh lines. Then I turned it over and pressed it to a piece of watercolor paper and let the ink sink in. I repeated the process a few times until I was happy with the coverage and then I let it dry. Once it was dry I splattered the panel with Pink liquid watercolor and Reactive Inks in Pool Party and Splash. I also splattered it with a little Metallic Gold Ink and then let it dry completely. While it was drying I stamped the sentiment on Hero Hues Pitch Black cardstock and heat-embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. Once the panel was completely dry I adhered the jellyfish and sentiment with foam mounting tape. I finished the card by adding sequins from the Champagne sequin mix

I hope my cards gives you some friendship inspiration and I can't wait to see what you'll create!
