Saturdays with Sally: A MUCH needed Happy New Year!

I think we can all agree this has been a year like no other! So I decided to focus on some New Year’s cards with a few of my favorite products.

A new year also brings new Pantone colors, and for 2021 they've announced the colors are Ultimate Gray and Illuminating Yellow. I tried to make my cards incorporate those, too. AND, in my mind, New Year’s call for stars! Our 5-Point Stars Infinity Dies, Shadowed Letter Set, and Hero Greetings Christmas Messages will help you create all these cards.

Let’s begin with From the Vault Aged Shadow Stamp and Soft Granite ink on the first card. Use that for your background and scatter the letters from Shadowed Letter Set to spell out "Happy New Year" in black ink. Add multiple stars with the star dies and attach some of them with foam tape. Glue others.

The second card uses the same ink and Hero Greetings Christmas Messages. Ink up the BACK of "Happy New Year" clear message stamp and make little blocks of color. Stamp the words in black and add lots of stars all over. Using a silver foil card stock makes the card more festive.

Lastly, the same message set and Butter Bar ink make this “Pantone color” card. The tiny star in the set can be randomly stamped around the die cuts stars. I also added a strip of gray along the edge made by stamping Soft Granite on a separate piece of paper for the gray.

So, I wish everyone a very merry holiday season and an abundance of good wishes for a very Happy and Better New Year!
