Rainbow Striped Card

Hi friends! It's Mindy here with you today to share a fun and colorful card using the new Apple Slices Bold Prints background stamp. I thought this background would make a great card to give to a teacher.

I started by picking out a rainbow of cardstock colors from the Hero Hues line including Peony, Azalea, Cherry, Papaya, Canary, Kiwi, Meadow, Arctic, Paradise, Adriatic, Lavender, and Amethyst

I trimmed the cardstock down to 1/4" strips. I took a piece of Deluxe Smooth White cardstock measuring 4" x 5 1/4" and applied tape runner to the entire piece. Then I went through and added the 1/4" strips to the white cardstock. I trimmed off any excess strips that were hanging off the edges.

Next, I placed this striped panel into my MISTI and stamped the Apple Slices Bold Prints using Unicorn Pigment Ink. I lightly heat set the ink with a heat tool because pigment ink stays wet longer and I didn't want to smear the background.

For my sentiment, I die cut the word "you" from black glitter cardstock using the die from the Love You Stamp & Cut XL set. I die cut the word two more times from Pitch Black cardstock and layered them together with Precision Glue to add dimension and give more separation from the background.

The smaller sentiment is also from the Love You Stamp & Cut XL set and I stamped this in Intensified Black Ink onto white cardstock. Then trimmed it down to a thin strip and added it under the die cut word with foam squares.

I love how bright and cheerful this card is and what a perfect background to give to someone in the education industry.

Thanks for joining me today!
