May My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway!

Hello! We are back with our final Countdown post before launching our May My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons tomorrow, Monday, May 1st, at 1pm eastern/10am pacific. We’ll be giving away a kit on Monday morning, before the kit launches, so be sure to comment on each and every Countdown post! Now join Jayne as she shares a “mer-mazing” card using stamps and dies from this month’s kit and an add-on sentiment set.

This month’s My Monthly Hero kit and optional add-ons are chock full of delightful stamps, dies and sea-themed supplies! The images are perfect for coloring or painting with watercolors and the sentiments are playful and fun!

To create my card, I embossed one of the beautiful sentiments and several water bubbles from the optional add-on stamp set, CM174 Mer-mazing Messages, onto a cerulean card base. I also added a few paper circles that I die-cut from the shiny, textured paper included in the kit!

Next, I inked a small panel of white cardstock with several blue and aqua Distress inks, splattered it with water, and then secured the panel to the card with foam tape. Using stamps from the monthly kit, I stamped three mermaids and a single starfish, colored them with inexpensive colored pencils, and used the matching dies, also included in the kit, to cut around each image. The monthly kit includes a pretty mix of sequins so I added a few to my finished card.
