Grab a Book and Get Cozy

Hey everyone. It's Dana Joy with you today. I have a quick card for you featuring the Book Stacks Bold Prints background stamp and the Literary Quotes clear set. Having a large image as a background makes card designing a breeze.

To start my card I stamped the large Book Stack on Meadow cardstock with embossing ink. I sprinkled on gold embossing powder and then heat set the image. Using the Rounded Rectangle Infinity Dies, I trimmed down the panel so once it was put on a white card base I would have some white around the panel.

To add just a hint of monochromatic color, I used a few green color pencils to color in some of the books. Next, I stamped the Book Stacks stamp onto a Dove White side folded card using Contour ink. Now it was time to work on the sentiment.

To keep my sentiment from being lost on such a busy background, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Literary Quotes stamp set onto vellum using the embossing ink and heat set it with white detail embossing powder. I wrapped the sentiment banner around the meadow panel and adhered this panel to the card base. For a little bit of added color, I added a few green enamel dots to the card and sentiment strip.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope I have inspired you to use those large Bold Print stamps to design your next card.
