Hello! It's Michelle Lupton here today to share two different crystal ball cards that both started off the same way - with a stencil on black cardstock!
Crystal Ball Shaker card
I used the bonus stencil that is available with The Whole Studio to create the spooky swirls inside the crystal ball. I sponged on some Watermark and Embossing Ink to the base layer of the stencil, and then pounced on some Perfect Pearls powder in Interference Red, Interference Blue and Interference Green. I sprayed the panel with a fine mist of water to set the powder, before drying off the panel and repeating the process with the second layer of the stencil.
I cut the crystal ball die in the August stamp and die set of the month from some holographic cardstock I had saved from a previous kit, and created a shaker window with an acetate sheet and some clear sequins. I used the Lacy Filigree letterpress + foil plate to create the red tablecloth for the crystal ball to sit on, and added some sparkles in the black background with the stamp from the same set, and some more Perfect Pearls.
Iridescent embossing
For this card, I cut, stamped and silver embossed the crystal ball image onto black cardstock, and created the swirly centre for the crystal ball with the Bonus Stencil, Iridescent Blue Embossing Powder, and some little dots of Glitter Hero Paste on the top. I silver embossed the sentiment onto some vellum, and die cut it with the coordinating die before adhering it with Precision glue.
I created the background with some Iris cardstock. I ink blended some Intens-ified Black Ink around the edges to create some shadows, before using some masking tape to mask off the bottom section of the panel. I used the August Layering Stencils of the month to create a tablecloth with Unicorn pigment ink.
