Color Week Kickoff! Updated Color System, New Colors, Blog Hop + More

Welcome to Color Week! We are so glad you're here. We have so many exciting things to share with you so let's dive right in!

Introducing our new Hero Hues Core Ink line! Adding color to your projects could not be easier. This essential collection is the ideal ink for your everyday stamping and cardmaking. It includes six fresh new ink colors to complement and round out our line, which results in a tightly designed color system. Each Core Ink pad features a new look with a palette on the underside of the lid and a low profile ink pad, which enables sharper stamped images.

Let's meet the six brand new ink colors! Here are Peony, Mist, Amethyst, Spicy Mustard, Antique Ivory and Espresso.

Did you notice something else that's *new* in the photos above? By popular demand, we are excited to now offer matching Inkers for every color! We have Inkers for the 6 new colors, and for every one of the 57 colors in our Core Ink line. Here's a look at the beautiful rainbow of Hero Hues Core Ink colors!

The Hero Hues line is rounded out with our Premium Cardstock, specifically selected to work well with the Core Ink spectrum. In addition to our existing cardstock, we've added 12 beautiful new colors: Ultra Pink, Antique Blossom, Passion Flower, Iris, Eggplant, Shamrock, Pine, Peacock, Cup O' Joe, Woodland, Granite and Charcoal.

Here's a look at our entire line of Hero Hues Premium Cardstock, including the weight of each color.

We know there are questions going through you mind right now. Let's arrange some of them into a Frequently Asked Questions section.

Q: I notice some Core Ink names are the same as previous ink colors. Are they the same ink?
A: Yes! We have condensed and reorganized our previous Shadow and Bold Ink lines into one tight collection, our Core Ink line.

Q: Previously, Shadow Inks were dye ink and Bold Inks were hybrid ink. How will I know what kind of ink is in the Core Ink line?
A: The Core Ink line does consist of both dye and hybrid inks. We feel they can be used together and interchangeably, and most stampers are more drawn to color than ink formulation. However, we have put the type - dye vs. hybrid - both on the label on the back of the ink pad, and in the product description here on our website.

Q: I have some of your old inks, how will I know what I already have compared to the Core Ink line?
A: We know many of you will want to compare this new Core Ink line to what is already in your stash. We've put together a handy reference chart to make it easier to understand. It lists the Core Ink names, the previous Shadow or Bold Ink names, and also the formulation, dye vs hybrid.

Q: Will the new Inkers work to re-ink my old ink pads?
A: Yes! The ink formulation is the same. Refer to the reference chart to match up the old name with the new Core Inker name.

Q: I notice some cardstocks have the same name as an ink pad, and some do not. Why is that?
A: As much as possible, we matched up Core Inks to our cardstock, and introduced the 12 new colors of cardstock to fill in some holes. However, not every Core Ink has a coordinating cardstock at this time. We have categorized some cardstock colors as "matches", and some as "works well with". This is also highlighted on the reference chart.

Q: Is there an easy way to shop for all things matching a particular color?
A: Why yes there is! We have made a new Shop By Color page on our website! Click around and see the beautiful rainbow of possibilities!

Q: What about the Reactive Inks and Pigment Inks? Are they going away, too?
A: No, our Reactive and Pigment Ink lines are separate from the dye and hybrid inks, and remain!

We hope that helped! But if you have more questions not covered here, please leave them in the comments and we'll be happy to help!

Now that you're excited about these new inks, we know you'll want to get them organized! We have a couple options to help you. First, we've put together a free downloadable swatch chart. You can find it HERE – download it, print it out and begin stamping in the squares as you collect your inks!

We've also made available Core Ink Pad Index Label stickers to add to the sides of your ink pads, to easily identify them in your storage system. They are also handy for labeling your Inkers! Each sheet contains a sticker for each Core Ink color, plus our Intens-ified Black ink. And each package contains two full label sheets.

If you're ready to shop for the new inks, we have a couple of options for you! The Core Ink Pads are available individually, as are the Inkers. We've also put together Core Ink Pad + Inker Bundles for each color. And there is a bundle for purchasing the 6 new Core Ink Pad colors. You'll even get a free set of index labels as a bonus with this bundle!

To make your ink shopping even more fun, we've put together a special Color Me Organized promotion! Receive a FREE pack of our new Core Ink Pad Index Labels when you purchase any 6 Core Ink Pads or Pad + Inker Bundles. This offer is available during Color Week, June 20-26, so don't delay!

Now that you've learned all about the new Core Ink colors, Hero Hues Premium Cardstock colors, and the color system revamp, how about we see some of these products in action on colorful projects from our Creative Team?

Our artists are sharing projects featuring new inks and papers. Visit their blogs and comment along the way! We are giving away one set of the six NEW colors of ink – Core Ink Pads and Inkers – to one lucky commenter. We encourage you to comment on every blog in the hop – the more blogs you comment on, the more chances to win! Comments for contest entry close Sunday, June 26 at 11:59pm PT, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week.
