Hello, crafty friends! Janette here today sharing a project to celebrate the graduating class of 2020! These students may not be experiencing all the things they thought they would be this year, but never can I remember a time where graduates have been more on the minds of the general public. Recognize their efforts by letting them know, we see you, we hear you, we know you've worked hard - Congratulations On Your Graduation!
In our home, blue and gold reign supreme, and we've got two graduates this year. One with a Bachelor's and another a Master's. From high school to college to grad school, the colors have all been the same. In a salute to the school colors, but change from the typical of past graduations, I've added in ink blending to get from one to the other. I've blended Blue Hawaii, Splash, Key Lime Fizz and then Lemon Drop Reactive inks on 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Dove White cardstock.
I've stamped a swag in Intens-ified Black and tassels, both from Festive Balloons, in the same Reactive Ink shades on a Dove White 4" x 5 1/4" cardstock panel.
Ink blending hidden behind a popped up panel is a shame. In a nod to working smarter not harder, I've capitalized on conservation by taking the Classic Numbers 2 and 0 and die cut them 2 times each, along with Congrats from Congrats and Happy Stamp & Cut, from the center to-be-hidden area of the blended panel. I've adhered them flat to the swag panel with Precision Glue, staggered an additional Congrats in Pitch Black, and popped up a White Detail heat embossed small sentiment. Then I've adhered the finished panel to blended panel concealing my cut areas, and then to a folded card base. Only you and I know the secret, shhh!
