Today we're delighted to have Kelly Rasmussen  here to share some fabulous "beyond the kit" ideas for a few of the add-ons. Take it away, Kelly...

The two cards I'm sharing today feature fun background ideas using the new Bold Prints stamp, stencil, and cover plate die from this month's release.

The small script pattern on the  O de to Andy Warhol Script Bold Prints is perfect to use for the emboss resist technique. I white heat embossed the background on white cardstock, then used the Heart Burst Stencil to blend a rainbow of color over the top using various Reactive Inks

For the message, I used the new I Love U Stamp & Cut XL . I die-cut the "U" from Granite  cardstock and stamped a coordinating message with Intensi-fied Black  ink. This Stamp & Cut is a classic and versatile set that is great for any love-themed cards!

This next card features the adorable  Flower and Hearts Cover Plate Die . You can make a big impact on your cards with just this one die.

I started out by ink-blending a panel of white cardstock with   Taffy ,   Fruit Punch , and   Creamsicle   Reactive Inks. Then I die-cut the panel with the Flower and Hearts Cover Plate Die. I also die-cut it from a panel of   Pitch Black  cardstock and adhered it slightly offset behind the colored panel to create a shadow.

I once again created the message from the  Love U Stamp & Cut XL . There are so many different combinations of messages you can create from this one set!

Be sure to save all those leftover die-cut pieces for a future project. There is no waste when you die-cut this Cover Plate image, as both negative and positive pieces are equally useful.

For a full walkthrough of this month's add-ons, check out the video below. It's also available to   view on YouTube .
