Today we're delighted to have Debi Adams here to share some fabulous “beyond the kit” ideas for a few of the add-ons.

Happy Wednesday friends! Hope you’re all doing well and ready to create! It’s another fabulous My Monthly Hero launch and I have been busy making. This month’s theme is about surrealism and imagery found in dreams. I have two cards up today featuring some celestial designs. I love how well Hero Hues Reactive Inks can create the ethereal backgrounds for these images.

This first card was inspired by a photograph I saw awhile back. I remembered that I loved how the light in the galaxy played off the clouds and so I created the same look with Taffy and Purple Galaxy Reactive Inks and a bit of Indigo Hybrid ink onto the Dove White cardstock base. I offset the Cloud Window Fancy Die design with another die cut piece cut from white glittered cardstock, added the moon, clouds and the sentiment. A tiny bit of sequins completed the card.

My second card was super fun. I created the background using Taffy, Purple Galaxy and Pool Party Reactive Inks and the Indigo Hybrid ink. I laid my Star Branches Stencil down and added Hero Paste to the top, carefully removed the stencil, added a touch of Ultra Fine Prisma Glitter and let it dry. (Tip: Make sure to rinse off your stencil right away!) I used the 5-Point Star Infinity Dies for the largest star, adhered it in place and die-cut and attached a portion of the Star Wreath and the clouds from the You Sparkle set from Glitter Paper Basics and Dove White cardstock. The stamped sentiment went on top of the card using foam dots. Outside of waiting for the card to dry, it all went together really fast.

Did you have a favorite design? I can honestly say, I cannot choose just one stamp, stencil or die-cut for February as they are all great. Kudos to the in-house, Hero Arts creative artists who draw so well and give us their best.

Thanks for popping in! Hope to see what you create!

A reminder for all My Monthly Hero subscribers: You have the opportunity to add extra items, including but not limited to add-ons, to your kit shipments with no additional shipping charges.
