Today we're delighted to have Creative Team member Jayne Nelson  here to share some fabulous "beyond the kit" ideas for a few of the add-ons.

Happy August! Today I’m sharing a pair of cards featuring two of this month’s new add-on products—the “unbearably” adorable Bear Family Fancy Dies and the stylized Mountains & Trees Bold Prints background stamp. These items, along with the other new products, are sure to become favorites for creating outdoor and adventure themed cards for all occasions.

For my first card, I started by stamping the Mountains & Trees Bold Prints background onto two panels of Granite cardstock—one panel with Unicorn Pigment ink and the other panel with Pine Core ink. Once the ink dried, I trimmed the white stamped background, preserving the cloud images, and secured it onto a horizontal, Pine card base with foam tape. Next, I fussy-cut along the green stamped trees, trimmed the panel’s lower and side edges, and then glued the trimmed trees onto the card with Precision Glue .

To embellish the background, I embossed a sentiment from the new Where to Next? stamp set with Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink and White Embossing Powder onto a small rectangle of Pine cardstock and secured it to the card with foam tape. I also die cut one large bear, from Woodland cardstock, with the Bear Family Fancy Dies. I secured it to the card, above the sentiment, and then added a trio of Green Enamel Dots around the bear and sentiment. For a final detail, I added a pair of small Dove White clouds that I cut with a Nesting Cloudy Infinity Die .

My second card came together very easily using the Bear Family Fancy Dies set. Using the tree line die, I cut three, tree line silhouettes from panels of Kiwi , Pine and Meadow cardstock, leaving different amounts of cardstock below the trees. I glued the three die-cut panels on top of each other and then glued them to an Arctic card base. I also die cut three playful bears from Cup O’ Joe cardstock and glued them at the card’s lower edge.

I finished the card with a sun and sentiment. Using a Nesting Circle Infinity Die , I cut a Canary circle and secured it to the card, above the trees, with foam tape. Then, I embossed a different sentiment from the Where to Next? set onto a Pine scrap. I glued the sentiment to the center of the sun and again, finished the card with a few enamel dots
