Seahorse Kisses Cards with Marie Nicole

Hello again, crafty friends! Marie here from Marie Nicole Designs. I am sharing three creations using the Seahorse Kisses collection. This collection includes stamps, dies, glimmer plates, and even a stunning embossing folder. If you love all things under the sea, this is a collection that will catch your attention!

GLIMMER OVER A FUN BACKGROUND

My first card features the large glimmer plate image of a seahorse along with some shells, flowers, and sea plants. I kept it simple by making a fun background to glimmer over.

I created the background by dragging several colors of blue ink pads across my paper in different directions to leave some streaks. Then, I ink-blended another hue of blue over the whole background. This left that streaked texture while also toning it down a bit.

I glimmered the image in gold foil, and then popped a foiled sentiment over it, as well. If you wanted to replicate this card, you could keep it this simple, or you could kick it up a notch by adding sequins or pearls as embellishments!

DO THE WAVE

My second card also features a fun background. This time, I ink-blended some waves and then foiled the sentiment right over them.

Then, I cut out a window with the nested arch dies from Spellbinders. This gave a nice frame to work around. I glimmered the fish and jellyfish, colored them with a bit of watercolor, and added them around the edges of the frame. I finished the look by adding some pearly accents.

LIFE’S A BEACH

This last card is also a simple one. Great card design to replicate if you want to make something quickly for a friend! I ink-blended a beach with ocean and sand. Then, I stamped the sentiment and the shells using a brown ink.

I added just a tiny bit of detail to the shells by coloring with some colored pencils. You could do a lot more coloring if you’d like, but I wanted to keep this card simple just to give some ideas.

I also added some shimmery splatters to the water, so it looks as if the water is shimmering on a sunny day. I hope you enjoyed a look at the Seahorse Kisses collection! This one is so fun! Until next time, Marie Nicole

Julie Kennedy,

I love these so much! Thank you for sharing them. May I ask what stencil you used for the waves? It’s different than other wave stencils I’ve seen. Thanks!

Joan Bardee,

GORGEOUS!
