Metallic Embossed CAS Cards

Hi, it’s Mona Toth here, in this post I have an easy-peasy CAS card inspiration for you with Flurry of Snowflakes 3D embossing folder. If you need an elegant card for an occasion, this design is a very good choice and the result will be eye-catching with a luxury touch.

The heart of this technique are 3 elements: a 3D embossing folder with pretty pattern, a high-weight cardstock and a high-quality mirror cardstock.

I decided to use the Flurry of Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder. First, I cut a piece of 5.5” by 4.25” cardstock from the Gold and Silver Mirror Cardstocks.

I also cut 2 pieces of white heavy weight cardstock but in a bit smaller size. I fixed the white cardstock to the mirrored one with Best Ever Craft Tape and placed this stack to the embossing folder and run it through my die-cut machine. I repeat the same process with brushed gold and brushed silver envelopes as well.

As you can see the pattern is continuous on both cards. Next, I adhered together the white and the mirror cardstock with 3D adhesive. As a sentiment I chose the All-Occasion Mailbox Greeting hot foil plates. I have foiled with Silver and Gold foils and it looks magical on the white brushed cardstock.

S. L. Miles,

Beautiful cards! I love your adhering the white card stock to the mirror to achieve the continuous design, before running through the machine. I certainly will use this in the future.
