Hello, crafty friends! Brenda Noelke here from
My PaperCut Creations! I’m thrilled to be guest posting on the Spellbinders blog again today! I have three masculine cards to share using The
Toolbox Essentials Collection designed by Nancy McCabe! This collection is perfect for those hard-to-create masculine cards!!
NAILED IT CARD
My first card features a couple of dies from the
All the Tools Die Set paired with the
A Cut Above the Rest Sentiments & Die Set!

I started by die-cutting the hammer from
Phonebooth,
Onyx and
Brushed Silver cardstock using dies from the
All the Tools Die Set. I adhered the pieces together with liquid glue and set it aside to work on the background. The sentiment, from the
A Cut Above the Rest Stamp & Die Set, was white heat embossed onto the
Phonebooth cardstock panel, on a diagonal.

Next, I die-cut the rectangle included in the
A Cut Above the Rest Stamp & Die Set several times from
Portobello cardstock. I ran them back through my
Platinum 6 with the woodgrain die included in the same set and an
embossing mat. The woodgrain detail was enhanced by dragging the rectangles directly over brown and gray ink pads. They were adhered under the sentiment, diagonally, trimming the excess from the edges.

The panel was adhered to a white card base. The hammer was popped up with foam tape and silver dimensional drops were added to the corners of each woodgrain rectangle to mimic nails.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP CARD
My second card features the
Nailed It Glimmer Hot Foil Plate with a sentiment from the
A Cut Above the Rest Stamp Set!

The
Nailed It Glimmer Hot Foil Plate was foiled onto black glossy cardstock with
Silver Foil, using the
Glimmer Hot Foil System. I trimmed the panel down and adhered it to an A2 white card base.

The sentiment, from
A Cut Above the Rest, was stamped onto white cardstock with black ink, trimmed into a rectangle, then adhered with foam tape. Easy peasy!

LOVE YOU TO BITS CARD
My final card showcases many of the die-cut tools from the
All the Tools Die Set.

I die-cut all the pieces for the tools from
Phonebooth,
Onyx,
Portobello and
Brushed Silver cardstock. I added a bit of brown ink to the screwdriver handle and adhered all of the tools together with liquid glue.

The background for this one was embossed onto white cardstock with the
Faux Stitched - May 2022 Embossing Folder. It was trimmed slightly and adhered to a panel of
Phonebooth cardstock, debossed side up, then added to a white card base. The tools were adhered on an angle and the excess was trimmed from the edges. The sentiment is from the
A Cut Above the Rest Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto
Phonebooth cardstock, then cut out with the die included in the set. It was popped up with foam adhesive and some silver dimensional drops were added to the four corners.
