Holiday Decor Inspired Cards
Hello! Jen Kotas here today with three cards featuring the Timeless Trees Collection by Simon Hurley. This collection includes two 3D embossing folders and five die sets for creating wonderful holiday and winter scene cards.
The idea for these cards was inspired by different holiday decor styles. The first card has a rustic feel, the second is more modern and the third is definitely traditional. Inspiration can be found everywhere!
Emboss a 4 x 5 1/4” piece of white cardstock with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder. Gently run a gray ink pad over panel.
Add a slightly darker ink to die cuts to add dimension.
Assemble die cuts and adhere to panel.
Die-cut sentiment from Handwritten Holiday Sentiments Etched Dies out of gray cardstock three times and the shadow out of white cardstock once. Adhere together and to panel.
Emboss a 4 x 5 1/4” piece of white cardstock with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder.
Die cut the Whimsical Bottle Brush Trees Etched Dies from a rainbow of cardstock colors. The stand pieces are cut from matte silver cardstock.
Cut swag from Mantle Decorations Etched Dies out of white cardstock and the deer out of white glitter cardstock.
Assemble trees and apply white glitter paste randomly. Add paste liberally to swag.
Die cut sentiment from Handwritten Holiday Sentiments Etched Dies out of silver glitter cardstock once and twice out of white cardstock once. Adhere together.
Add die cuts to panel with thin foam squares and liquid glue.
Emboss a 4 x 5 1/4” piece of green cardstock with the Branches 3D Embossing Folder. Die cut branch from the same cardstock and emboss. Blend a darker ink over embossing.
Die-cut Vintage Layered ornaments from teal gold glitter and matte silver cardstock. Blend a darker ink over the teal elements.
Die-cut sentiment from Handwritten Holiday Sentiments Etched Dies out of gold glitter cardstock once and twice out of green cardstock once. Die cut shadow from vellum cardstock. Adhere together.
Adhere branch to panel with thin foam squares.
Assemble and adhere die cuts to panel with liquid glue and thin foam squares. Add panel to a slimline card base.
