Floral Friendship Trio with Marie Nicole

Hello again, crafty friends! Marie here from Marie Nicole Designs. The Spellbinders collections never disappoint and this Floral Friendship collection is absolutely beautiful. There are so many papers, embellishments, and ephemera to choose from in a soft, floral theme.

I’ve got three cards to share, so let’s take a look!

FILL A FRAME

This first card features some of the ephemera pieces from the Floral Friendship collection arranged inside of and over a chipboard frame. I love the color scheme here; soft blues and purples and yellows. I wanted to keep the overall feel of these cards very earthy, so I used a light kraft cardstock to create on.

To finish this first card, I added a little sentiment from the Floral Friendship Sentiments ephemera pack and then stuck a few of the self-adhesive gemstones on for embellishment.

This card turned out quite simple, but the frame as a focal point definitely pulls your attention.

FRAMED WITH FLORALS

For this second card, I chose to make the flowers a frame instead of filling a frame with flowers, like my first card. I chose a number of floral pieces, trying to keep them in mostly the same color family, and I arranged them all around the edges of my kraft cardstock.

With the edges covered with florals, this left an opening in the middle where I was able to layer on the sentiment. I also popped up one of the sweet little birds with foam adhesive for a little more interest. Again, I love the soft and feminine look of the card.

A WREATH FOR YOU

One of my favorite things to do with floral or branch pieces is to build a wreath. I grabbed a number of the green branch ephemera pieces from the collection and arranged them into a circle over a piece of torn patterned paper.

I then also added a few of those gorgeous gemstones and a butterfly sticker from the collection. These little butterflies are just beautiful! They are sticky on the bottom layer but their top wings are angled up, giving them the appearance of being ready to flutter away at any moment.

The sentiment is from the sentiment pack from the collection and is popped up with some foam adhesive. Thanks for stopping by today! Until next time, Marie Nicole
