2 Layouts Using Storytelling Betterpress Stamps and Dies
Hi everyone! I’m Stephanie Dang, and I am the guest designer for this beautiful collection called, Storytelling by Spellbinders. If you would like to see more of my work or follow me, please find me on Instagram and my blog. The inspiration for my projects is inspired by the whimsical and modern feel of the sentiments and dies. You will find all supplies to recreate both layouts at the bottom of my blog post.
Step 1: Using a light pink grid as the foundation. Layer on a 6” x 12” multi-color stripe towards the left side of the page.
Step 2: Diecut 5 pieces of white cardstock using the Stitched Petal Bloom die set, and sew in the following colors: pastel yellow, pastel blue, pastel green, orange, and pink).
Step 3: Layer photo in white, blue, and orange cardstock. Add scallop punches on the left side of the layout. Diecut the title “smile” from the Stitched Petal Bloom die set. Diecut the rainbows and clouds from the Over the Rainbow die set in pastel yellow, pink, blue, and white cardstock. Diecut the Dancin’ Fairy Twinkle in kraft (hair), peach (body), pink (cheeks), black (eyes), pastel yellow (shirt), and pastel orange (skirt).
Step 4: Layer the diecuts on the right bottom of the photo starting with rainbow and clouds. Add on a few ephemeras around page.
Step 5: Finish with smaller embellishments and flairs such as enamel stars, hearts, and wooden buttons.
NOTE: You can use any collection of papers and ephemeras as long as colors and styles are similar. If you don’t have same colors, you can have it match your chosen color theme. For example, replace all blues on my page with your chosen color.
Step 1: Start with a horizontal stripe for the base of the layout. Cut out a 6” x 12” strip of circular pattern paper and adhere to center of layout. Add stitching.
Step 2: Add photo a little off center to the left side of page. Add tags to right of photo.
Step 3: Diecut the title Wander in navy blue and white cardstock. Diecut boots in black, white, and pastel blue. Stamp and cut out the Betterpress Wander sentiments using the Betterpress and Platinum Diecutting machine.
Step 4: Add the diecuts to page. Boots, Wander, and “our big adventure” goes on top left of photo. “Born to explore” and “away we go” goes towards bottom right of photo.
Step 5: Add a few ephemeras such as arrows, flag tags, and small vellum building border. Top with twine for the tags.
NOTE: You can use any collection of papers and ephemeras as long as colors and styles are similar. If you don’t have the same colors, you can have it match your chosen color theme. For example, replace all blues on my page with your chosen color.
