Trick or Treat - August Cling Paired with Layering Stencils

Hello spooky crafters! This is Rachel Kleinman sharing a Halloween card that uses many of the beautiful Hero Studio August kits. I hope you reserved your kit by subscribing, because everything in this release is incredible!

The background panel starts with a base of Teal Topaz cardstock that was stamped with the August 2025 Cling of the Month using Aquatic Ink. I then used similar colors for each layer of the August Layering Stencils of the Month.

Since I had the stencils out, I also started to build my frame backgrounds. This uses Blue Spruce cardstock and every stencil layer is blended with Aegean Ink. I use this panel to die cut the base of the frames used in the card.

I was truly in the mental Halloween crafty zone so I forgot to get more action shops of the process. You can see in the zoomed in photo above, the August Cling was also heat embossed with Detail Black Powder over Pitch Black cardstock. It was then cut with the Wood Frame Infinity Dies and added to the main panel (which, by the way, was die cut with the Nesting Postage Stamp Infinity Dies). To add a little dimension, the frame portion was popped up with foam adhesive.

The darling frames and icon elements are all from the August Die of the Month. The background of the frames were cut with the stenciled panel shown earlier, and the frames of the frames (I promise that makes sense) were die cut with Paradise Cardstock. The spooky cute little icons were each die cut with Granite Cardstock and then backed with Saffron Cardstock.

All spooked up and ready to bring a happy scream to somebody's day for Halloween! Thanks for stopping by!
