Hello friends. Today I'm sharing a couple of card ideas with the February My Monthly Hero Kit. I love the 1920's Art Deco theme of the kit and add-ons and was inspired by the design of the die in the main kit to create these framed up designs.
I was able to get two cards out of the die cuts by creating inlay backgrounds. The die from the main kit was die cut from gold mirror cardstock twice to use as the frames for both cards. The die was then die cut again from both black mirror cardstock and champagne gold glitter cardstock. The black and glitter cardstock were used to create the inlays.
I used the line art images from the main kit and stamped them on smooth white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. The images were colored in with Copic Markers.
I love how the same design can be used for many different occasion cards. For the second card I used the same design but used the single female image holding the martini glass from the main kit along with a sentiment from the main kit to match the image.

This card brought tears to my eyes, but joyful ones. My late husband called me Dollface all the time. In fact, it is engraved on the inside of my wedding ring. I will cherish this stamp set for this reason alone. It’s like he is sending me a message that he’s with me always!
I’m in love with these vintage images. The soft images of the people with the bold Art Deco background die go perfectly together.
