Easy Wrapped Shaker Cards | Beary Sweet Holiday Collection

Hi friends! We have a special guest joining us today— Carly Tee , designer of the new Beary Sweet Holiday Collection ! Carly is sharing a fun and easy wrapped shaker card that puts a festive spin on one of our favorite interactive card techniques.

Beary Sweet Holiday brings Halloween and Christmas fun to Carly’s original Beary Sweet designs, with new dies, stamps, and sweet little details made for mixing and matching. Today’s Christmas card combines a soft holiday color palette with a tree-shaped shaker filled with snowy sparkle and tiny peppermint candies. And the best part? Carly’s wrapped shaker technique makes creating all that movement and sparkle surprisingly simple.

In the video, Carly walks you through her easy wrapped shaker technique step by step. Instead of building a traditional shaker with layers of foam tape, she wraps clear material around the shaker opening to keep all those sparkly bits contained. It’s an easy way to add an interactive element to your holiday cards without a lot of extra bulk.

For her Christmas version, Carly creates a minty green tree filled with shaker sparkle and peppermint candies. The oversized Sweet die cut from the Sweet Wishes Stamp & Cut adds a playful finishing touch, while the curved stamped sentiment completes the sweet holiday message.

Same Technique, Spooky-Sweet Style

Of course, Beary Sweet Holiday isn't just for Christmas! Carly used the same wrapped shaker technique to create a Halloween version that's every bit as sweet.

This time, the Penny Candy Jar becomes the shaker, filled with tiny Halloween candies featuring pumpkins and bats. Pops of purple and orange give the card a playful Halloween look, while the oversized Sweet greeting and curved spooky wishes sentiment tie everything together.

We love seeing how one card idea can take on a completely different look with just a few changes.
