Video: Detailed Mixed Media Backgrounds with Bubble Celebration

Hi friends! I'm back today with a fun set of cards and a video all using a single impression of the FABULOUS new Bubble Celebration Bold Prints  background stamp. It's a very finely detailed stamp, which gives a beautiful crisp image even with watercolor paper and embossing powder.

You'll see how I created the background in the video with just three colors of Hero Arts Liquid Watercolor: Dandelion , Deep Ocean and Pink . I then stamped the image in Unicorn  ink and embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder .

For the first card, I used the Hooray Birthday Cover Plate Die with Pitch Black  cardstock for the sentiment.

For the second card, I used the Message Strips Stamp & Cut XL  set to cut out the strips, and again used the Hooray Birthday Cover Plate and Pitch Black  cardstock for the sentiment on a white card base.

When I cut the strips above with the Message   Strips Stamp & Cut XL  dies, I kept the negative space because I couldn't waste one little bit of this beautiful background. I mounted that on a Pitch Black  panel and then used the Hooray Birthday Cover Plate to cut through the black layer – I was SO excited that the little sentiment dies fit neatly into these openings! Then I mounted that on the white card base and glued the centers of the Os on top of the white.

Enjoy the video of my process! Watch below or HERE on YouTube.

Thanks for stopping by today!
