Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #27

Hi crafty friends! It's time for another Stay Crafty With Hero challenge! This month we are challenging you to use your stencils! You can use stencils with ink blending, embossing or glitter pastes, dry embossing...the sky's the limit!  We'll include all of the details further down this post; but first, here's a cheery card from Jess to kick off our newest challenge.

Hi crafty friends! Jess here with a card for our new Stay Crafty with Hero challenge! I am SO ready for fall and the new Fall Leaves stencil was perfect for this month's challenge!

To start I used blending brushes to very lightly blend Lemon Drop, Creamsicle, and Fruit Punch Reactive inks onto a panel of Dove White cardstock. Then I taped the Fall Leaves stencil over the panel and blended the same three colors with a slightly heavier hand. Finally I rotated the stencil and shifted it slightly and then blended the same three colors with an even heavier hand.

While the panel was drying I die-cut the Autumn Leaves Fancy Dies from Papaya, Cherry, and Fall Glitter cardstock. I also stamped a sentiment from Autumn Messages onto Pitch Black cardstock with Embossing & Watermark ink and heat-embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. I adhered the stenciled panel to a top-folding Dove White card base and then arranged my leaves around my sentiment. I popped the sentiment up with foam mounting tape for a little dimension and that's it!

And now it's your turn! Create a new card for this challenge with the theme Stencil. Use the InLinkz tool at the very bottom of this post to link up your card, and you will be entered into our drawing. We will be giving a $50 gift certificate randomly to one person who plays along! To link up your project, you need to share it publicly somewhere you can grab the link - this can be your blog, Instagram, a Flickr account - anything that allows you to have a URL or website location to link up.

We, of course, always encourage you to use your favorite Hero Arts products. But any and all entries are eligible for consideration. We really care most about you bringing a little crafty joy into your life. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, October 7th at 5:00pm PT to be eligible for the giveaway, and the winner will be announced when we announce our new challenge on Friday, October 8th. Scroll down below the product thumbnails to find the linkup! If you share your project on social media, we'd love if you'd use the #staycraftywithhero hashtag.

Last month we challenged you to create rainbow cards and your entries were SO beautiful!! Our random winner is Christina! We love your rainbow of fish from the April 2021 My Monthly Hero kit swimming down that wavy river!!

Congratulations Christina! Email us at info@heroarts.com with "Stay Crafty Challenge Winner" in the subject to claim your prize.

Here's to connection, creativity, inspiration, and kindness. ❤
